In Paris at LOV, our employees put themselves in the shoes of our 2 blind guides Evelyne and Pascal from the HASC agency (le Handicap Au Service des Compétences), and met their 2 guide dog companions, Jump and Surf.
In Paris, with the Serve the City association, around a hundred sandwiches, several hygiene kits, around twenty boiled eggs and several litres of coffee and tea were distributed during outreach campaigns at the Maison des Métallos, which has been taking in hundreds of young migrants for several months.
In Choisy-le-Roi, with the association Au Fil de L'Eau, employees collected 15kg of rubbish and 4,500 cigarette butts. Given that one cigarette butt pollutes 500 litres of water, the collection of 4,500 cigarette butts prevented the pollution of 2.27 million litres of water !
At the Monoprix Mozart Auteuil in the 16th arrondissement, our crack team collected 2,616 sanitary pads for the Règles Elémentaires charity, which will help 130 women in precarious menstrual situations.
On 3 July, more than 180 Banijay employees took part in solidarity activities to benefit a number of associations in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. Environment, disability, inclusion, fight against exclusion, menstrual precariousness... So many concrete and useful actions, during a day of exchange and sharing.
During the Inside Day, an exchange between the students and Benjamin Duboin, Head of Talent and Content Factory at Banijay and head of the 1st French university degree dedicated to the creation of TV formats, created by Banijay in partnership with the Université Côte d'Azur and Cannes town hall.
One of the highlights of Inside Day was a Masterclass given by the President of Banijay France with the 2 co-writers of Culte, due for release on Prime on 18 October, the behind-the-scenes series about the Loft Story reality show.
A successful operation on 18 June 2024 at the Shack in Paris, for the 1st edition of Inside Day, when Banijay France opened up its backstage to around a hundred students from 3 inclusive audiovisual schools: the INA's Classe Alpha, la Toile Blanche and la Cité des scénaristes. The programme included prestigious Masterclasses and business workshops, with plenty of lively exchanges between employees and the talents of tomorrow!
In May 2024, a dozen employees of the Pan Dei Palais in Saint-Tropez gave blood as part of a challenge organised by the LOV group and the Vendredi platform. 1 donation can save up to 3 lives, thank you to them !
In March 2024, staff at Les Airelles Courchevel and Le Grand Contrôle in Versailles received training in welcoming customers with disabilities from HASC - le Handicap Au Service des Compétences. The programme included awareness-raising and role-playing !
On 2 March 2024, employees of Airelles Saint-Tropez Château de la Messardière collected food for the Restos du Cœur in a local supermarket.
Like every year, employees from several entities took part in the Ecotrail, the eco-responsible trail in the Paris region. A special mention this year to Guillaume, the valiant finisher of the 80 km !
At the beginning of 2024, trainers from our loyal partner HASC - le Handicap au Service des Compétences - visited Airelles Courchevel and Le Grand Contrôle in Versailles to raise awareness among staff at these Airelles establishments about how to welcome customers with disabilities.

A perfect weather and great performance, on March the 18th, for the motivated runners who have represented LOV Group at the Ecotrail, the legendary sustainable trail of the Western Paris region. For the second year in a row, people from Airelles, LOV and Banijay challenged themselves on three distances, 10, 30 and 45 km. Congrats to all the runners !
Airelles' partnership with Elise Alpes goes stronger. From now, the company collects the organic waste in all our winter hotels and restaurants : Airelles Courchevel and Val d'Isère, Les Chalets des Airelles, le Chalet de Pierres, le Relais Val d'Isère and Aman le Mélézin. The organic matter is converted into compost and then distributed to local farmers, and to our summer hotels gardens, so that the virtous circle comes back around !
On June 19, sportsmen from Airelles and LOV Group ran 15 kms through the park of Versailles, for the 10th edition of the NordickTrack Running. Since 2011, 500 000 euros have gone to the restoration of the Château's unique gardens.
On May 2022, our recycling partner Lemon Tri collected 2604 kg of waste. An appropriate sorting which results in water and energy saving, and in reducing carbon emissions.
On March 19, a team with LOV, Airelles and Banijay employees ran 10, 18, 30 and 45 km at the Ecotrail Paris, under Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque colours.
Since october, just a stone’s throw from le Mélézin, arachnids and beneficial insects can find a winter shelter in a nesting box from the « Jardinage entomologique » company, the French pioneer in the biodiversity havens field. A great initiative on the part of Le Mélézin’s team !
On september 18, teams from le Mélézin and le Chalet de Pierres took part in a cleaning day organized by the local charity Man of the Day. They collected 520 litres of waste and cleaned 6 kms of ski runs, in a joyful atmosphere !

The Suspense thriller, produced by Banijay’s drama company Yellowbird in co-production with Sagafilm dramatize the burning issues of climate change, Arctic exploration and international geo-politics. The thriller’s carbon emissions have been calculated and offset.
Wild Wonderful Denmark is produced by Banijay’s Mastiff for public broadcaster DR1. It aims to put a focus on the danish nature life and the challenges it faces due to climate change. The format is pitched globally to get as many countries in the world to produce the show to make a massive impact.
Peter Hansen is the Banijay Nordic Chief Creative and green ambassador. It felt like a natural thing to step into the role as a spokesman on endorsing sustainability for Peter coming from a region in the world where it's very much on the agenda. The Danish government has, for instance, adopted a climate law to cut emissions by 70% by 2030.
The Swedish drama series BÄCKSTRÖM for TV4 & ARD was shot in 2019 and is the first scripted production in Sweden to focus on sustainable production and to find a way of producing in a greener way in film & TV. The film production had an Eco-Supervisor to educate all heads of development before the production. It included no air travel in Sweden, and climate compensation for air travel outside Sweden, no non-recyclable items, less use of plastic and always a vegetarian alternative for meals.
